Super 8 By Wyndham Elkins Hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and great water pressure in the shower!

I liked that Mariah was such a sparky welcoming person! That in itself was a great first impression. I liked that the front desk was attentive to the needs of the guests during breakfast. Making sure there was enough of this and that even though 9 o'clock had rolled along. Very gracious and kind - all of them.

When we booked and received our confirmation. We were told that we would have a king size bed with the mountain view. I even called a few days before to make sure about this as well as to see if hair dryers were made available. I was verbally told that we would have what was confirmed. Well, when we went to our room, we discovered that there were 2 double beds (actually, smaller than a double) and we were street side. There were no other rooms available, as per Mariah - so we decided that we could be content to have to snuggle, in the truest sense of the word, through the night. The side I slept on was quite saggy and would have been better had the mattress been flipped. I shared this concern as we were leaving so that the next guest could be more comfortable - hopefully they will do it! (Room 114).

The check-in process was smooth, and the room was clean and comfortable. The AC unit had a musty smell that marred an otherwise pleasant stay.

The room was very small and crowded. The room did not feel clean. In the bathroom there was only two small soaps and 1 small container of shampoo. No conditioner, body lotion, etc. I stayed in a Super 8 in West Middlesex, Pa and was very pleased.

The manager helped me locate a shirt I had forgotten to pack when leaving-- usually, you can kiss the item goodbye in most hotels. I called, not expecting any return of hte shirt, but , to my surprise, the manager checked the room herself, then, because there was nothing there, told me she would chek with the cleaners that evening and call me back. Lo and behold, the cleaners had picked it up and held it in lost and found! Amazing in these times-- honest people! It was so refreshing! Also, another woman who worked the front desk, other than having to clean a room in a rush for some folks who had discovered thatthe cleaning staff had not done the job, ended up cleaning the room herself and leaving a note "will be right back", was as sweet as she could be! The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay great-- we were really satisified. And probably would try this hotel again.

Super 8's are usually not my favorite hotels-- we generally find them owned and operated by Indians/ Pakistanis, etc. whose standards of cleanliness tend to be lower than the average. However, even though we saw the ownership certificate on the wall by the front desk, we were greatly satisfied with the cleanliness and upkeep of the room and the hotel in general. Although the cold breakfasts at Super 8's are fine enough for us, many of the basics were not there and once what was offered had run out, nothing was replenished.

Comfortable, clean room for one night stay. Nothing fancy, but met my needs for an inexpensive night.

"Breakfast" a bit "thin". High carb.

Needs a thorough cleaning.

The hotel was in a comfy location, close to shopping center.

It is perfect.

The breakfast was a highlight—waffles and fresh fruit were great! The clean room made our stay pleasant, but the bathtub had some stains that surprised me. Overall, I would come back!

Pleasant and polite staff and fine breakfast.

Clean hotel and nice restaurant. Functional and reasonably large room, bright bathroom with a tub. With a microwave oven and a fridge. Quick check in, reasonable prices. Good and easy location a 10-15 minute walking distance from Statue of Minnehaha. Based in a business area.

Decent spot for a quick stay

We were lucky to get a room since it's super busy in the summer. The breakfast was decent too, with tasty biscuits and gravy. Just wish the bathroom looked cleaner-some stains were a bummer.

The breakfast was nice, especially the biscuits and gravy 🥐 The staff were friendly, and the location was great for exploring Elkins. One downside, the room had a musty smell that lingered. Decent stay.

The warm, inviting decor. The common areas were well-kept, and I appreciated having no stairs to navigate.

More breakfast options would be good.

The room was cozy and had a beautiful view of the Allegheny Mountains. I loved the comfortable bed and the amenities like the microwave and fridge. The location is fantastic, being close to local attractions and surrounded by nature.
